William A. Addo

head of chambers

William joined Nii Okantey Chambers after he was called to the Bar as a pupil under the mentorship of the late Honorable Peter Ala Adjetey. He has since been an active member of the Chambers and is currently the Managing Member of the Chambers. 

William has thus far enjoyed an illustrious and pioneering tenure at the bar. His experience in litigation in particular spans from notable cases such as the National Patriotic Party v AG (31st December Case) to the recent landmark Supreme Court decision on Arbitration, De Simone Limited v Olam Ghana Limited, Civil Appeal NoJ4/03/2018. 

William also has extensive experience in commercial law, company law and land law disputes. He currently represents a wide range of clients including various corporate bodies and stools 

His other areas of expertise include construction disputes, employment law, negotiations, complex international divorces and constitutional disputes. 

William has also previously served as a board member of the Ghana Free Zones and is a member of the International Bar Association. 

Sam McGall Asante

He was called to the Bar of Ghana in 1972.
S.M. Asante is a veteran of the bar with over 40 years of experience in a diverse range of legal issues.
He is an expert in land Law and estate planning .

Yaw Odei Osei

senior member

Called to the Bar in Ghana in 1976.

Before joining the chambers, Yaw served Ghana in the foreign service for many years in many countries including the UK, South Africa, Denmark, Canada and Ghana’s permanent mission to the UN in New York. He currently serves on the Council of Foreign Relations. 

Yaw has vast experience in litigation, out of court dispute settlements including mediation and marriage counselling.

Vanessa Mensah

Called to the Bar of Ghana in 2016.

LLB- University of London International Programmes.

Vanessa joined the chambers as a pupil and has over the years actively participated in litigation and drafting. Her areas of expertise include land law, labour law, matrimonial disputes and family law.

Kelly A.S. Kwakye

Junior Member

Called to the Bar of Ghana in 2018.

Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017; Honorable Society of the Middle Temple.

Kelly is a newest member of the chambers and shows a keen interest in litigation. She has assisted in construction disputes, workmen’s compensation claims, land disputes, advising clients on immigration requirements and other regulatory compliance. 

Kelly also holds a certificate in mediation from ADR-ODR International.
